Family Support Worker
For many children and families, school is the first place where concerns can be identified and support can be accessed. The Family Support Worker plays a vital role in building positive relationships between home and school, helping to ensure that every child is safe, happy and able to reach their full potential. They provide practical and emotional support to children, parents and carers, offering guidance on issues such as attendance, behaviour, emotional wellbeing, friendships, routines at home, and parenting challenges. The Family Support Worker can also signpost families to external services, coordinate support with other professionals, and provide a listening ear during difficult times. By working closely with families and school staff, they help to remove barriers to learning and promote the wellbeing of the whole family.
Our school Family Support Worker is Lucy Gardiner. Please contact Lucy via the school office if you would like some support for your child or family.
