Across this half term we learn about 'Plants' in Science. Our visit to Kew Gardens helps us to learn about different plants and the best conditions to grow ones healthy in. We use our knowledge and ideas to test different conditions for healthy plant growth, record our findings and present our results. Our photographs from our visit are used to create a Computing photography portfolio.
We explore the contrasting locality, Madagascar, looking at climate, location, landscapes and the features of an island. We also research different jobs and the effect humans have had on the island and compare this to the UK.
Using our knowledge of the UK and Madagascar, we find out about different fruit and vegetables grown in the two places to plan, design and make a dish from home-grown vegetables.
