Darwin's Delight - Spring 2In this section...
Darwin's Delights is a Geography and Science based topic. We explore the habitats and life in the Galapagos Islands through studying maps and aerial photographs to look at the physical and human resources and compare these to London. We also consider why these islands are so geographically distinct and important. We combine this work with our Science theme 'Evolution' where we look at how animals and plants have adapted and what fossils can tell us about life in the past. We also learn about how animals and plants are classified based on specific characteristics.
In Computing we use the program Python to create a game which is made up of several rooms.
Our PHSE theme this half term is 'Good to be Me' where we think about the how emotions change during puberty and how to manage them. We also explore different risks in different situations and how to behave responsibly in order to maintain positive relationships. This links to our Music where the genre is music that makes me happy.
Within our RE lessons we focus on Christianity and the lead up to Easter, thinking about the Last Supper and Jesus' death.
PE comprises of Dance and Netball and in French we develop out conversational skills.
