Beast Creator - Spring 2In this section...
Our fourth topic this year allows us to come face-to-face with some very scary creepy crawlies! We welcome a visit from the 'Bug Man' and enjoy learning all about mini beasts. This topic is heavily Science based and we learn a great deal about mini beasts, their habitats and their lifecycles. We also become familiar with classification and learn all about different mini beasts and their characteristics. We find that many of us overcome our fears of a range of mini beasts during this topic. Finally, we have the chance to create our own superbugs in Art to help save the world - this is definitely a favourite!
In addition, we also learn about the life cycles of different animals and present our work using labels and diagrams.
PE comprises of Gymnastics, Handball and Dodgeball and in Music the genre is 'Old School Hip Hop'.
We learn to speak in longer sentences in French and increase our knowledge of numbers.
The PHSE theme is 'Good to be Me' where we explore how we are all different, showing consideration for others and caring about their feelings. We also study the media and how information can be presented in different ways which may mislead or misrepresent.
In Christianity (RE), we consider how their beliefs impact the way they live, treat others and the natural world.
We use our Computing skills to create a gallery displaying artwork.
