Always heavily over-subscribed, Barrow Hedges Primary school is situated in a leafy, residential area between Wallington and Sutton. We have 560 children on roll, including 51 children in our own nursery. Barrow Hedges Primary School originally opened in 1955. It was previously a two-form entry school, but we have taken on additional classes over the past two years and now have three-forms of entry in Reception, Year 1 and 2. We will continue to grow over the next four years. The past year has been a busy one, with a large building project taking place. Three brand new classrooms for our Reception classes and a large play area for the Foundation Years are now complete. This new addition to our school, as well as extensive grounds, including a large playing field, three ICT suites and spacious corridors and classrooms make our environment a great place to learn and achieve. Children and staff work together in a culture of high academic success and shared responsibility.
