Barrow Hedges Primary School was opened in 1955. We are a two-form entry Primary School with a Nursery. Always heavily over-subscribed, we enjoy a reputation for promoting high standards of academic and personal development.

The school occupies a very large site with several playgrounds, a trim trail, a nature area, a small pond and a large playing field. We also have our own outside, heated swimming pool. With three suites of computers, a music room and several small teaching rooms as well as light, airy classrooms, our children enjoy high quality facilities. Although we have good premises, Barrow Hedges is really all about the children and adults who work there.
